UFC on FOX : Alvarez vs Poirier 2 - Post Event Analyse

• Alexander Hernandez show very good skills on the ground and also in stand-up in win against Olivier Aubin-Mercier. This was his second fight in UFC and he is already figure as one of possible future contenders for title.

• Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeated Tecia Torres via unanimous decision. She shoved skills that reminds on her title reign days. Torres shoved excellent control in clinch and it is unfortunate that she didn't get takedown because that will maybe change judges scorecards.

CO-MAIN EVENT

• Jose Aldo in his non-title fight in UFC defeated Jeremy Stephens who was on 3 win streak coming into this fight. It feels good when you see good fight like this. Aldo hurt Stephens with one powerful body shot and after that finish bussines with GNP. But, it seems like judge could let a few more shots because Stephens was still moving and he was almost recover but also when stoppagge happened Stephens didn't had defense on his head.

MAIN EVENT

• Dustin Poirier now have 4 wins in his last 5 fights ( 3 win in a row ) after he knockouted Eddie Alvarez. It was very close until Poirier try two times to do guillotine choke and then Alvarez had excellent mount position and he messed that up with 12 to 6 elbow. Judges back them on the feet and Poirier secure the finish.
