UFC on ESPN: Chiesa vs. Magny Results

A very interesting night of fights and excellent prep for upcoming UFC 257. This event was supposed to be headlined by Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev, but Chimaev was forced to pull out due Covid-19 recovery. Remember, this two was already supposed to meet one time, but that time Edwards was forced to pull out due to health problems caused by Covid-19 and that was Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal where Edwards and Chimaev was also expected to be main event.

Markus Perez (now 2-5 in UFC) after his loss will probably get cut from the organization. The better fighter this time was Dalcha Lungiambula.

Umar Nurmagomedov won his UFC debut in a dominant fashion with an rear-naked choke for win against Sergey Morozov.

In featured preliminary bout, Ricky Simon got win against Gaetano Pirrello via arm-triangle choke in round 2.

In first fight of the main card, Omari Akhmedov defeat Tom Breese via arm-triangle choke in second round.

Lerone Murphy was better after 3 round of fighting against Douglas Silva de Andrade via unanimous decision.

Viviane Araujo dominated Roxanne Modafferi and won her fight by unanimous decision. This is really nice comeback for Araujo after her loss from Jessica Eye ( now with second win in a row, after Montana De La Rosa, she was better than veteran and experienced fighter Modafferi ).

Really close fight between Matt Schnell and Tyson Nam and two knockout finishes ( Isaac Villanueva def. Vinicius Moreira while Warlley Alves def. Mounir Lazzez ).

As we mentioned, Warlley Alves couldn't ask for better comeback after over an year without a fight, nice finish for him.

In a main event, Michael Chiesa was better after 25 minutes of fighting and he won by unanimous decision against one of the toughest challenges in welterweight division, Neil Magny.
