UFC 249 : Ferguson vs Gaethje - Recap

Fight card was orginally scheduled for mid April but because of ongoing pandemic event was cancelled. This is first UFC event since March 14th.

• Brycee Mitchell dominant performance against Charles Rosa and unbeliveable control of 13,5 minutes.

• Vicente Luque def. Niko Price again and Luque is now again in winning column.

• Carla Esparza against Michelle Waterson and Aleksei Oleinik against Fabricio Werdum won their fights by SD.

• Greg Hardy def. Yorgan de Castro via UD ( all three judges score this fight 30-27 for Hardy ). ( MMA Analyse score this fight 30-27 for Hardy ).

• Calvin Kattar def. Jeremy Stephens ( missed weight by 4.5 pounds ) by TKO ( elbows ). Excellent performance from Kattar. He show that he deserves to be at the top of division.

• Francis Ngannou finished Jairzinho Rozenstruik in less then 30 seconds and confirm his number one contender spot.

• Henry Cejudo defeated true legend of bantamweight division, Dominick Cruz ( previosly fought on December 30th, 2016 ) and immediately after fight anounced his retirement.

• Justin Gaethje dominated Tony Ferguson through the whole fight and won interim LW belt. We saw very calm and calculated Justin, and he did fantastic job to defeat one the best guys in division. Next opponent for Justin should be current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
