UFC 228 : Woodley vs Till - Post Event Analyse

UFC Fight Pass Prelims

• Jared Brooks def. Roberto Sanchez via split decision. First round goes to Sanchez while Brooks dominated in 2nd and 3rd round. This was fight with a lot of grappling.

• Irene Aldana def. Lucie Pudilova in very exciting fight via split decision. In first round Pudilova was way better, but in second and third Aldana was better fighter. This very good fight on the feet.

• Jim Miller submitted Alex White via rear-naked choke in his 30th fight for UFC ( most in UFC history ).

• Diego Sanchez completely dominated Craig White and earn well deserved unanimous decision win. In all three round we saw same pattern, takedown and then GNP from Sanchez to the end of round.

FX Prelims

• Charles Byrd had initiative against Darren Stewart but one good right hand from Stewart was enough to change situation. Stewart continue to punching Byrd after he hurt him and then finish him with behind ear.

• Geoff Neal had a chance to knockout Frank Camacho in first round but he didn't succeed. In second after one very good exchange from both fighters Neal landed perfect placed head kick and put Camacho on sleep.

• Aljamain Sterling defeated Cody Stamann by very good kneebar which almost hurt Stamann's knee. After performance like this Sterling should get top 5 ranked opponent.

• Tatiana Suarez dominated Carla Esparza and eventually finished her by way of TKO. This dominant perfomance should give Suarez and top 5 ranked opponent, and that maybe is former champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Main Card

• Abdul Razak Alhassan finished Niko Price very express and earn his shot against some of best fighters in division.

• Jimmie Rivera defeated John Dodson after three rounds, by unanimous decision. Rivera had more success with leg kicks and even look like he was able to hurt Dodson.

• Zabit Magomedsharipov defeated Brandon Davis via kneebar and show why other fighters refusing to fight him. Magomedsharipov's next opponent could be Chad Mendes or maybe winner of fight Frankie Edgar/ Chan Sung Jung. Davis took this fight on short notice and he didn't dissapoint.

Co-Main Event

• Jessica Andrade finished Karolina Kowalkiewicz with one of most brutal knockouts in women's MMA history. This performance probably secure her title fight against Rose Namajunas.

Main Event

• Tyron Woodley submitted Darren Till by D'Arce choke and successfully defended his belt for the 4th time. Till suffers his first carrer loss. Woodley's next challengers for title could be Colby Covington or Kamaru Usman.

* Unfortunately, expected fight for flyweight title between Nicco Montano and Valentina Shevchenko was cancelled due to Montano's problems with kidneys caused by weight cut.
