SBC 30 Results

SBC (Serbian Battle Championship) held their 30th event last night in beautiful city of Novi Sad. Event was held without fans in attendance due to Covid protocols in Serbia.

In first fight of the night, in a heavyweight division, Benjamin Sehic made a quick work of Cihan Kaplan via armbar in round one, fihgt was over after 30 seconds.

After two rounds of a great action in SBC hexagon, Djamal Rustem defeat Nikola Egic after Egic's corner declared that Egic cannot continue fight. As for the fight, in first round we saw very close battle but it looked like Egic landing more and round was probably his. In second, Rustem dominate Egic after takedown with excelent ground control.

Very good win for Halil Amir, he controlled Dimic through the whole fight. In first two rounds, battlle on the fight was very close, but on the ground, it's whole different story and dominant perfomance by Amir. In third, he capitalize that dominance on the ground and finish fight via punches, ground and pound.

Miro Jurkovic mada a quick work of Milos Kostic in what was a non-title bout in middleweight division ( important to notice because Jurkovic is current SBC middleweight champion ). Jurkovic did at what is best, takedown, ground control and finish with ground and pound.

After a last year comeback, Stefan Negucic was again scheduled to fight here at SBC 30, against Georgia own, Aslan Gorgishvili. This fight was very, very close, and either of those could won. After three round of action, judges made decision, winner by split decision is Negucic. Aslan's corner made appeal on an outcome. For me, round two is key as how judges saw it, because it was very close round, and neither of two fighters didn't have significant adventage in that round.

Predrag Bogdanovic again did at what he is best. Ground control and constantly looking for finish. His opponent, Bochorishvili, was able to defend some of those attempt in round one, but in second round, Bogdanovic was able to set up really nice shoulder choke and finish the fight.

In a main event, Slobodan Maksimovic with another win to his resume. This time, his opponent was Bruno Leandro Soares Lobato from Brazil. After three round of fighting, and not so interesting fight to be honest, Maksimovic was declared as a winner by unanimous decision. Well deserved win, but again, very uninteresting fight as a main event on one of the best Balkan region organizations, SBC and their celebrating 'SBC 30 Revenge'.

Overall, very goood event organized by Serbian MMA promotion, even though in this tough times is really hard to organize fights.
