Megdan 9 'Under the bright sky' is first ever promotion event in city of Sabac, and also first ever not held in arena. A huge attention for this event was drawn after promotion announced that MMA and K-1 legend Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva will fight on the card.

Megdan 'Under the bright sky' had 9 fights, 7 in MMA and two in K-1 rules fights. Very important fight was fight between Daniel Toledo and Ivan Vitasovic. This fight was for Megdan Heavyweight Championship in MMA rules, also Vitasovic stepped up on short notice after Sasa Milinkovic pulled out.

Moving to event itself and fights. Card opener was fight between Marko Gucu and Goran Veskov. Veskov was dominant on ground and Gucu couldn't defend well and fight was stopped. Kuitty Begaj with back-to-back wins in Megdan promotion but this time he fought for round and a half before he finished Dragan Petrovic with really well setted-up armbar.

Third fight of the night was first with K-1 rules and after really good and tough fight, Igor Nistor was victorious by unanimous decision over Aleksandar Milivojevic who showed that he is really tough opponent. Stanislav Krofak make quick work of Bojan Asak after good ground and pound which forced Asak to tap due to punches.

Still unbeaten in Megdan ring after another event, Nenad Milanov defeated Ivan Bilic in really one sided fight in whole three rounds. Milanov used his adventage in top position and earned his unanimous decision win.

In second K-1 fight, Sabac born and raised, Sasa Jovanovic had unfortunate ending of fight in front of hometown crowd against very dangerous Moribah Kosiah. Kosiah clean knockout over Jovanovic was declared as a No Contest after huge mistake by referee and whole promotion. Reason for overturning fight was punch that was landed after referee's command 'STOP' but in this case all punches was landed before 'STOP' but still fight was declared as a No Contest.

Now, next fight was for Megdan Heavyweight Championship. This was by far most entertaining fight on whole card and both fighters left everything in ring. After three round war, well deserved unanimous decision win for new champion, Ivan Vitasovic.

Fight that was everyone hyped about didn't end well with another huge mistake by referee in ring. Quentin Domingos won by TKO against MMA and K-1 legend Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva. This was Silva's MMA comeback after four years and he certainly have a huge reasons to be dissapointed. In round one both fighters landed some shots but the one with control of fight was Silva and really good clinch control that earned him round one. Silva looked really good and even hurt Domingos who immediately fires back and knockdown his opponent and that was the moment and mistake by referee. Even though he got tagged, Silva wasn't 'OUT' and he still fight and move intelligently, but referee stopped the fight and that was it. Big dissapointment for all fans and both fighters as this fight could be very interesting until that misfortunate event.

Main event of the night, where another MMA Team CDS Novi Sad undefeated prospect in Megdan ring got the job done in round two. Nikola Joksovic after close first round was able to capitalise with good striking and end fight via punches against Marko Vardjan.

And that's a wrap for this event of Megdan. It's good and for every praise that Megdan levelling up production of the events but what really is a problem that referees are not well trained and experienced and that's situation in whole Serbian MMA scene because referees are not so good and if promotion like Megdan want to have even more credibility they will need to find better referees to avoid this kind of unfortunate events.
