FNC 'Armagedon Finale' Results

After a long time of waiting, FNC (Fight Nation Championship), Croatian based MMA promotion, was finally able to organize Finale of their show called 'Armagedon'. In addition to Armagedon finals bout, we also have a chance to see 4 'Superfights' as a warm up for those Armagedon final bouts.

Now, instead of 4 final bouts, we only get chance to see 3 because Andi Vrtacic was injured and final bout against Djani Barbir was scrapped. Due to proposition of the show and tournament, FNC offered Djordje Bukvic and Milan Filipovic (both was defeated by Vrtacic) a chance to step up instead of Andi Vrtacic and fight against Barbir, both per organization, both fighters were unable to safe cut weight in time for the fight. Let's not forget, this news about Vrtacic was anounced week before the fight.

So, let's move to fights and what happened there. First, we are starting with 'Superfight'.

First fight of the evening was bout between Vlasto Cepo and Leon Krajacic in middleweight division. Cepo put pressure from the start, he was more aggressive, he got takedown and finished his fight with really good ground and pound.

A flyweight bout between Ana Maria Pal and Adriana Vukovic offered really fun fight to watch in round and a half action. Very interesting first round for both fighters, and also, very close round. At start of second round, Ana Maria come in swinging. Adriana Vukovic didn't defend well those punches, she was caught off guard but Ana Maria land canonade of punches and fight was over. Huge win and very impressive win for Ana Maria Pal.

Heavyweights got us knockout in round as we expected. Donald Cosic got takedown and with ground and pound finished Tadej Dajcman.

A Bellator fighter, Harry Hardwick gave fans really dominant perfomance against Karlo Caput. Hardwick was the one who puts pressure, control the cage and fight. He hurt at start of fight Caput, but Caput was able to defend and survive after he initiate clinch. But, Hardwick was able to finish fight via rear-naked choke.

After these four very interesting fights, we move to Armagedon Finals bouts in featherweight, lightweight and welterweight division.

Nino Skrijelj and Daniel Bazant had a very interesting fight until Bazant's illegal shots to the back of the head. Good fight and it's a shame that it ended in this way. Skrijelj was deducted a point beacuse of missed weight, but still he was very good in round one. In second, Bazant start to get some momentum, but after he defended and sprawl takedown attempt he landed two illegal shots to the back of the head. Those shots was unintentional, referee did a good job to stop fight on time when Bazant started landing ilegall shots. Very odd thing is, that this fight was declared a DQ (disqualification) instead of NC (No Contest), really unusual decision.

Two very talented fighters, Bojkovic and Celic, gave us great fight. Great display of skills by Bojkovic and great thoughness of Celic.

Jakob Kosic was at the edge of finish against Marko Ostanek but Ostanek was able to survive and set up rear-naked choke to finish the fight and won the Armagedon Tournament in welterweight division.

After this great night of fights, we are going to see who will get contract from KSW promotion. As it was anounced, one of the winners of Armagedon Show will get a chance to sign the contract with one of the best European MMA promotions.
