SBC 21 - Recap

SBC 21 was held in SPC 'Odzaci' in Odzaci, Serbia.

Prelims

• Predrag Bogdanovic def. Luka Sumic via SUB ( rear-naked choke ). Sumic try to takedown Bogdanovic, good scramble and with good GNP and control he set up very good rear-naked choke and force Sumic to tap.

• Dusan Salkanovic def. Mirko Jovanovic via SUB ( rear-naked choke ). Salkanovic drop Jovanovic two times, had good clinch fight, dropped him 3rd time and 4th time and with good techniques set up very good rear-naked choke that force Jovanovic to tap.

Salkanovic originally was scheduled to fight against Benedito Silva Azevedo but two days before event Azevedo accept fight against Slobodan Maksimovic because Maksimovic's opponent was force to cancel fight.

• Nemanja Kovac def. Slavoljub Mitic via KO ( punch ). First round very good for Kovac. In second round first punch sends Mitic to floor and fight was over.

• Gian Siqueira def. Nebojsa Mrsic via SUB ( rear-naked choke ). Siqueira got takedown, work with nice GNP and then set up very deep rear-naked choke that force Mrsic to tap.

• Ognjen Salatic def. Danijel Kokora via TKO ( punches ). Takedown for Salatic and good ground control in first round. Good shot for Salatic, he goes to clinch and get takedown. After that he get top position and with good GNP finish fight.

Main Card

• Manoel Fernandes Neto Jr. def. Miro Jurkovic via SUB ( rear-naked choke ). Neto started pressuring and trying to takedown Jurkovic, but Jurkovic defended well. One attempt of takedown was good for Neto and he got Jurkovic's back and set up very good rear-naked choke that put Jurkovic on sleep.

• Slobodan Maksimovic def. Benedito Silva Azevedo via UD. A lot of clinch fight and good pressure from Maksimovic. Well deserved win for Maksimovic. This was tough fight for Maksimovic because he had three opponent changes and Azevedo accept fight on 2 days notice ( Azevedo originally scheduled to fight against Salkanovic in 145lbs, this was fight in 155lbs ). First Maksimovic's opponent was force to cancel because of family tragedy while second just cancel fight 2 days before event.

Co-main event

• Jackson Loureiro def. Stefan Zvijer via SUB ( rear-naked choke ). Zvijer got takedown on begining of round. After that Loureiro got takedown. He was able to control Zvijer on ground and set up very good rear-naked choke. Loureiro defend his LW title for the first time after he dethroned Nemanja Kovac on SBC 19, back in December.

Main event

• Maiquel Falcao def. Igor Pokrajac via TKO ( punches ). Falcao forced clinch fight from start. At almost last seconds of round Falcao threw right hook that sends Pokrajac to the floor. Few punches on the ground and judge stopped fight.

Falcao was originally scheduled to fight against Satoshi Ishii for HW title, but Ishii was forced to cancel fight because he signed for PFL. Pokrajac accepted fight on one month before fight and both fihgters agreed to fight in LHW and their fight was scheduled for LHW belt. So, Falcao after this win is new and first ever SBC LHW champion.
