KSW 60 Results

KSW and their 60th event bring us two title fight and few very exciting fights that give us some new contenders. The event was held in Lodz.

Jakub Wiklacz dominated Patryk Surdyn in all three rounds and he earned well deserved unanimous decision victory. Wiklacz did almost everything he wanted and that's why he was very dominant on judges scorecards.

Ion Surdu no doubt had knockout of the night against Kacper Koziorzebski. He finished his opponent in round with brutal head kick.

Karolina Wojcik with another win to her resume. This time, she was better than Aleksandra Rola by unanimous decision. First two rounds Wojcik was able to dictate the tempo and and land a lot more cleaner shots than her opponent. In a third, and most competetive round, Rola finally started attacking and she was better fighter in that round but that wasn't enough for win.

KSW featherweights, watch out! There is a new force to be recognize, and that is a fighter from Slovakia, Vojto Barborik. He dominated Krzysztof Klaczek and earn a second round submission victory via rear-naked choke.

Serbian 'Joker', but in MMA, Aleksandar Ilic was able to stop his 2 fight losing streak with a TKO win over Adrian Dudek, who was short notice replacement after Tomasz Jakubiec was pull out from fight. Ilic finished business in round one, he pressured Dudek, land body kick followed up with good left hook and finish fight with hammer fists. Ilic now have 2-2 inside KSW cage and we will see what plans KSW organizators and matchmakers have for him.

One very interesting fight in featherweight division between Patryk Kaczmarczyk and Michal Sobiech that was ended after three rounds of fighting as a unanimous decision victory for Kaczmarczyk. In round one Kaczmarczyk really well controlled the fight and probably earn that round. In second, both fighters got their moments but Kaczmarczyk got a slightly adventage. And, in the third and last round, Kaczmarczyk almost finished fight after body punch, but Sobiech survived and then he gained momentum and won the round. After fight, Kaczmarczyk could barely walk, while Sobiech also needed a time to get on feet, both fighters we're so exhausted and they literally left all in cage.

Heavyweights didn't disapoint but Izu Ugonoh did disapoint his fans. In a fight against Marek Samociuk, first round was complete domination for Ugonoh and he almost got a finish. But, it appears that Ugonoh after good knee punched himself out and because he didn't get a finish, he could barely stand at the begining of round two. Samociuk use that, get takedown, got full mount position and finish fight with good ground and pound.

Co-main event, also the KSW Lightweight Title fight between current champ Marian Ziolkowski and Matiej Kazieczko, didn't last long. After very close first round, Ziolkowski was able to land good right hook that send Kazieczko to floor. He then got full mount, work well with ground and pound, Kazieczko give his back and allows Ziolkowski to set up rear-naked choke and won the fight via submission. So, and still, for a first successful title defence for Marian Ziolkowski. It's interesting to see who might be his next opponent.

Main event figth, champ vs champ fight between KSW Heavyweight champion, Phil De Fries and KSW Light Heavyweight champion, Tomasz Narkun. This was a rematch between these two, their previous bout was at KSW 47, where De Fries was better after 5 round and unanimous decison win which marked 2nd title defence for De Fries at the time. This time, current KSW heavyweight kingpin didn't leave room for error and he dominated Narkun using excellent wrestling and ground and pound skills to eventually finish the fight with punches in what was almost like an crucifix position. This win cement De Fries legacy as the best heavyweight of all time in history of KSW organization. It's going to be interesting to see who are next opponents for respectively, both De Fries and Narkun.
