FNC 'Armagedon' 3 - Recap

FNC 'Armagedon' 3rd event was held in Zagreb, Croatia. We saw 7th semifinals fights and had a chance to enjoy in very interesting night of fights.

In semifinals bouts of featherweight tournament Daniel Bazant brutally KOed Nikola Djurdjev after good first round for Djurdjev and earn his place in final. Second semifinal was supposed to be fight between Robert Kardos and Mateo Bolfan but due to injury of both fighters, we had new match-up between Nino Skrijelj and Gordan Lovric. We saw very dominant performance from Skrijelj as he advanced to final where he will get a chance to revenge his loss from quaterfinal bout against Daniel Bazant.

Lightweight tournament offered two very interesting semifinal bouts. Both fights went to extra round. In first semifinal Lazar Kukulicic had very good first round but Patrik Celic controlled fight well in second. In third, 'extra round', Celic was able to have control and secure win and a place in final. In second semifinal bout Marko Bojkovic was better after three rounds of very close fight with Luka Milidragovic.

Welterweight tournament was damaged by injury of Milos Cvetkovic, organizators wasn't able to find a right replacement for Jakob Kosic so he advanced to the final without fight. In only semifinal bout Marko Ostanek defeated Ivan Bilic in very dominant fashion. Ostanek showed during this tournament that he is one of the biggest favorites to won whole tournament.

In middleweight tournament we saw very dominant win and knockout by Djani Barbir over Stanislav Krofak in semifinal bout number one. In second semifinal bout Milan Filipovic dominated Andi Vrtacic through the whole round but that obviously drained a lot of energy. In second round Vrtacic starting to put pressure and gets finish worth of place in the final.

All finals will be on FNC next event where one winner will get a chance to sign the contract with one of the best European MMA organisations, KSW.
