CFL 2 - Post event analyse

- Last night, CFL 2 was held in Belgrade, Serbia in beautiful Stark arena.
First fight of the card was K-1 clash between Mihajlo Kecojevic and Michail Karamousketas. Kecojevic started fight very aggressive and that aggressivnes was awarded by two knockdowns for him. Karamousketas was able to recover from that two knockdowns but after first round, doctor confirmed that he will not be able to continue fight.
After that fight next two fight was also by K-1 rules. That was four man tournament in category under 71 KG.
First semifinal was clash between Nikola Cimesa and Daniel Corbeanu. This was very interesting to watch. Unfortunately, Corbeanu suffered injury at the end of round one. That slow him down and he was unable to show all he have. In third round, after beautiful knee to the liver, Cimesa won and secure his place in big final.
Second semifinal was between Teo Mikelic and Sayfullah Hambahadov. We saw excellent various kicks from Mikelic while Hambahadov was the one who had pressure and control of fight. Well deserved win for him after decision.
After two excited semifinals we had a chance to watch first MMA fight between Rafael Puladov and Joel Moya. This very interestnig fight with a lot of grappling. Puladov had a few takedowns and after one good scramble Moya took top position. But, Puladov set-up very good triangle choke and force Moya to tap.
Next fight was K-1 clash between two prospects. Rade Opacic dominated Pascal Toure through whole fight. At the end of round three Rade had nice combination which help him to finish Pascal before going to judges scores.
Second MMA fight was supposed to be fight between Dusan Dzakic and Gunduz Nabiev. Unfortunately, Nabiev at weigh-ins had 3 kg over welterweight limit and CFL pulled him out of fight. Danijel Arandjelovic jump as a replacement, instead. Dzakic was better fighter and was able to finish Arandjelovic with rear-naked choke.
In big final of four man tournament we saw excellent fight between Nikola Cimesa and Sayfullah Hambahadov. Nikola was better whole fight, he had initiative and he didn't give so much space to his opponent. After going trough three round war, the judges scores said that better fighter was Nikola Cimesa.
